These songs were written by young people aged from Aberdeenshire as part of a Youth Music Initiative project led by Jenny Sturgeon, Adam Ross and Grant Anderson.

Participants spent time outdoors at Crathes Castle and Aden Country Park, learning about the idea of inspiration and how to write lyrics, chord patterns and melodies. The groups were also introduced to music technology in order to make recordings of their finished songs.

Huge thanks to all of the participants for their enthusiasm and creativity! Additional thanks to the National Trust for Scotland at Crathes Castle, Douglas Gooday and the Aberdeenshire Council Countryside Ranger Service, Aden Country Park and Heitor Alves from the ARC recording studio for their involvement.
